Simmons University Giving Campaign

ROLE: LEAD ART DIRECTOR, DESIGN | AGENCY: OLOGIE

As the lead art director, design for this campaign I was involved from the beginning to the end of this project. Participating in discovery interviews, being client facing, creating brand workshop exercises, concepting, and then bringing the chosen concept to life. I partnered closely with our strategy team in order to make sure the visuals I was creating were also on brand, and would be receptive to our target audiences. With this campaign we wanted to create something that felt exciting and youthful, that pushed the brand forward into bolder territory in order to set them apart in the higher ed landscape.

 

Campaign Tactics

When creating tactics for this campaign we needed to make sure that we were not only providing Simmons with a wide variety of print and digital tactics, but also making sure we were aligning them with our core audiences. This provided a good jumping off point for their internal team to continue building new campaign tactics as they moved forward.

Campaign Guidelines

The main deliverable for this campaign was a guidelines document that Simmons could share internally to make sure any and all materials created for this campaign would feel cohesive. This included how this campaign ladders up to their institutional brand, audience breakdowns, strategy and messaging guidelines, as well as a visual language breakdown. I created the the layout and design for the whole guidelines document, as well as wrote the visual language section detailing how to utilize the campaign branding we created.
